I can understand why lol, most people came into a book that don't have a romance tag and harem tag. so they don't expect or want it, I think its mostly due to badly written romance or they interferes with mc's goals or target.
a lot of love interest at times are annoying when reading. (－_－ ;)

there isn't a lot of manga with no romance cuz romance is Kinda one of the most popular or like most of the books. while those who don't have romance as the main plot sometimes have hidden romance plots that is annoying when u don't want to read romance or a break from it.

Honestly tho... most of them can't even be called romance... it's either mc becoming a simp around women or mc being a "sigma" not interested with a buch of 10/10 women simping over him...

It's not that we want an ascetic forever alone ace MC... is tust that most authors suck biiiig time at trying to incorporate romance at their works...

omg- you have took my mind into words. like for one I don't mind romance, but the writing and how it's shown is.... bad. if they really want it, I can read it if the romance is like on the side that barely shows up if the author wants the mc to be in a relationship. or they have to write good romance. （￣へ￣）

They're just bummed that the mc is getting female friends. Honestly, it isn't a problem for me, since at least they aren't weak females needing his protection or saving. I did look into it a little because so many people were complaining about it, so not sure which harem type it falls under, since no one was super clear.

Don't know if it's a romance harem or just a collector's harem. By collector harem, I mean just a visual harem without romance. Just the stigma that because you're with the guy or girl, you're just inherited in his or her harem kind of thing. The other person has affection for your harem owner, sort of thing. Seen a few that had a harem but no romance with any or with only one near the end after it was all over type of thing.

I only know he has 5 female heroines, so he makes at least 5 collectors into stories for his library. There are other sub characters, but unsure since the reviewer didn't go into context on that, just told us the names of the 5 heroines and a little bit of what stories we get to see the characters go through and some hint towards some villains.
