The Mc was never raped and impregnated?? It was the female villain Olivia who was but the readers felt it was to brutal. So it was changed. Never in the "old" novel or in the new, the Mc was never raped! It never happens.

read the spoiler and changed ending for Olivia, thanks for the link. Certainly really harsh, but the original ending for Olivia definitely makes sense thematically, I would've like to see that one actually.
