Now creators making reaction reels to Jaxx’s tweet and the comments are all defending this insane manhwa saying it’s “always the westerners.” Well yeah it’s about western history badly written by a foreigner, I agree western fans overreact a lot, but just this once, all the loud reactions make sense. How was this story going to continue when chapter 1 wants the audience to sympathize with a slave owner after he “loses everything?”
also since the civil war ended they were literally forced to free their slaves so i don't get why they weren't still free

Assuming Jaxx wrote the story to happen in the South, especially the Deep South, they didn’t free the slaves there until much later because the news didn’t get to them and they were still resisting. The time between the emancipation proclamation written to free slaves and them actually being freed was around 2-2.5 years.
Lezhin definitely underestimates how many western fans there are, specifically the US. I just went to the in-person Sparklz popup 2 hours after opening, and basically everything was sold out besides like a couple photocard series and the nui outfits. And they did not supply any cardboard cutouts to take photos of. It was super cute, but disappointing how the stores are given so little stock and photo options are limited. It’s a 3 day popup but ts definitely not lasting til the end of today lol
You'd think they would learn after all these years. Before POTN became such a shunned manhwa it had a lot of fans on this site and just online. LZ decided to take advantage of it by releasing/selling some posters, cards, and other merchandise to promote it. All of those goods sold-out within minutes. I remember seeing so many angry fans slam LZ for not producing enough merchandise and not setting limits so all the fans could get a chance to buy something.
