The comments make the ML in the story sound way more of a bad guy than he actually is—and I have to emphasize this so bad—HE IS FAR FROM A BAD GUY. His story is complex and he has his reasons: he doesn’t lie or beat or rape or mentally and physically abuse the MC like so many other MLs dude, but I have seen way more hatred for this guy than I have for any other story. It’s ridiculous, considering the fact that the situation is a lot more complex. Like he was literally fucking raped by his own dad, there is a reason he avoids the relationship in anyway he can HE IS FUCKING TRAUMATIZED.
I have seen so many passes and so many excuses for MLs in stories that are a lot less compelling and a lot less tasteful when it comes to hard topics. This story does not romanticize rape, it sheds light to how horrific it is and what it can do to a persons mental state, and all yall can focus on is how he “cheated” while removing any and all important context. Fuck out my face
