Ah I noticed that too..maybe it was a color error on the artist part or maybe their eyes switch back and forth since both parents have those eye colors..
I think it’s the shadowing! In the scene they seem to be in a dark part of the room or his back is against the fireplace. But when he tells the Duke “let’s go to your room” his eyes are shining blue since he’s standing nearer the fire.
