im sorry but i feel like some authors make abo stories thinking it's a guaranteed hit and then make the most barebones/disengaging story. you can't just make an abo story and think it's auto good because it's abo. a lot of premises for abo are similar but it's the characters + the way they're written that makes them so fun/interesting to read.
guys that was the most predictable thing to happen ever. like the villain was obvious right from the get go everything in this manga is kind of just forced to click together but the pieces arent clicking because none of the parts are either written well or explored enough. the dark, tragic parts of this story aren't written well either so it just comes across as either shocking, or everyone reinforcing the idea that omegas are inferior, which we already know because that is the point of the premise it's literally to explore that + the challenges that come w this hierarchy.
mc isn't likeable even with his backstory because his actions still don't make sense considering his occupation. what it did make sense of was his need to prove himself (but then it would've made MORE sense that he reported about the drug) and his confusion about + aversion to his feelings for leo (this actually makes sense).
if leo is supposed to be considerate and secretly supportive of mc as an alpha, how would it make sense that when mc is spiralling about how dirty he is, leo goes the time is now lemme take you. instead of comforting him in literally any other way...? like nothing is consistent. there are better abos to read.

or sometimes it isn't about the challenges, sometimes it's just a cute story!! but this one is clearly about the challenges and it's not telling a good story
I give this series points for highlighting the issues in an omegaverse beyond heats and ruts, as well as not making it a regular civilian story. That said, like MANY Japanese BLs, this could've handled a longer length/buildup. The villain wasn't obvious to me at first, and when I started to suspect it, I REALLY hoped he wasn't--not just because I liked him, but it's insanely common in BLs to make the characters only rely on each other, with other characters being villainous or in the background.

There was one BL oemgaverse I really liked, but it ended up being rushed because the author's health had declined and they had to end it quickly. Also reading a throuple BL with an alpha/omega/beta, and the alpha is the only non-problematic person in the group.
came back to this after years bc this used to be my fave fr and i knew it wouldn't be the same as back then but like. why is this still ongoing even what is the goal anymore...? bc things dont really get solved by the ends of vol 5 or 6... or 4... theyre kinda just filler with new obstacles (said obstacles are stupid). i feel like there isn't much megtsu development anymore, or like time to be cutesy together. this teacher character is the worst + corny and this author seems incapable of moving abo plot forward without sa or even just hints at it.
i think this story either needs to end or it needs a timeskip BADLY like they dont do anything anymore!! just show us them happily mated and married, tsu working at a patisserie and meg being the malewife he wants to be or whatever damn i love seeing tsu's parents happy so could we just see that but megtsu...?
megtsu u will always be special in my heart tho... i remember waiting for vol 2 to come out augh.... how is this still ongoing with little plot progression.......

ok the random childhood friend plot was kinda unnecessary so many stories do that for some reason... usually it's to establish there's a reason for them liking each other but they already liked each other so i was like ??? suou literally thinks hes a cutie patootie (bc he is i was so happy seeing a gyaruo!!)
