As other people have already stated: it is a very good story. It is not focused on romance. There is one, but very, very slow burn. It takes more than 100 chapters before you even get the hint of romance. The characters are great, most have a lot of depth and they make you feel something. Hope this helps.

Main villains are also smart, arrogant, evil. But realistic.
No 'magic' in the regular sense. mostly political/court intrigue, drama and economical maneuvering in addition to the main storyline.
It's one of those regressed-back-in-time-when-they-were-still-a-kid type manhwa with a strong female lead but this one is very plot focused, as in, politics, business and family drama. As the title says, her goal is to become the matriarch of the family. Romance is a pretty recent development as it's nearing the end. The art is amazing, the story is good, the characters have depth, the villains are pretty powerful. So, yeah, it's a good read.
Hyunjae & Yoojin literally act like ex-lovers divorced couples. Yoojin keeps referring to everyone as his kid. And then there's Hyunjae, the way they keep bickering. Especially in last chp 183. And now in this chp 184? That move where hyunjae pulled yoojin in his arms to hide his tears?!
You can't tell me they're not husbands!!! Bcuz I tell you, that move right there?! If the MC (yoojin) was a girl instead? They'd definitely be the long standing ship on sail!
If this fic does not end either them together, I'll lose my mind!! It's impossible to not ship them!!! They leave me reeling every chp!

This is a good example of why the war arc is working better now.
They're taking time with the war, showing the strategy and battle tactics behind it instead of rushing to the end. It makes the conflict feel bigger.
Some other mangas end their final war in like, 3 arcs with 5 major fights against the main villain and his forces, so it feels too quick. Here the pacing makes it feel like an actual war.
i know what you mean...and trust me i've read the novel of this manhwa and is peak, pure cinema...the war arc is awsomely writen by the author like you saw the 1st turn point of the plot of this arc appeared..arthurs father killed...the war goes on and it has 1 or 2 other major turning points that have influenc on arthurs character...this is well writen is total worthed to reread it as manhwa i'm glad i stayed to read it.
