I have a theory. what if those girls are the concubines of shuraka's dead siblings? it's not uncommon for concubines being passed down after their master's death. maybe shuraka was kind enough to take them in cause that was the only way to keep them alive? and about the scent, what if shuraka went to the male concubine to take "advice" on.. well yk what. maybe that's why he smelled like him?
That's what I think the case it's even hinted in this chapter if we read between the lines
But why would he dodge the question? Like tei's thought he was clumsy in the beginning and suddenly starts taking the lead and acts like Mr know it all then I don't think anybody will believe the above theory.
Maybe he's embarrassed about it I'm trying not to be react strongly against Shuraka or anyone till the I know all the details I'm pretty sure the author is going to clarity everything
I think he went to the pink haired dude to ask for tips and guidance because he's the only man in the harem. But that dude decided to take advantage of it. Think about it, if he stirred up trouble between Tei and Shuraka, who will Shuraka come to? Pink haired dude. Or so he thinks because he doesn't know how devoted Shuraka truly is.
It does make sense. I just want Shu to show that petty pink haired dude his right place which is beneath Tei.
