Yeah, I remember reading the novel awhile back that ML died and MC "escaped" and it ended like 18. Maybe the author has updated it because the ending was unpopular but for sure, that was how the novel ended when I read it. It's a relatively short novel too.
Either way, im glad the endings' being fixed in manhwa version
