I had to force myself to finish this instead of dropping it.
I knew it was gonna be toxic. I signed up knowing it'd be toxic. I knew I would have a deep hate-love towards Jaekyung (still do). The 'redemption arc' was lacking in depth imo, and was way too quick of a turn around from toxic af to lovey dovey.
From toxic POS to 'I have seen the errors of my way' in just a short span of several months after being a POS for years. A realistic version would've been several years later, after maybe some therapy, and finally sitting there with a 'Huh... maybe I WAS the problem' epiphany.
"After all these years missing, we're finally reunited! Oh, and I'm getting married!" And his sister over there believing this dude was cheating on her sweet brother
Taking a historical topic like the Civil War and using that time period as the setting of a BL, I knew it wasn't going to end well lol
I think it would have been a better direction to have created a unique world and setting while using inspiration from pieces of history instead of the actual real world history itself.
