Chapter 21 in regards to yamatos feelings had me hurting!! The sudden and complete certainty that you’ll look for another path and realize the differences and understand that you can’t like your crush anymore, to only be followed by a huge wave of emotions by something so simple once again! In a one sided love, this is probably the most stressful yet continuous thing and sensei portrays it so well. (´༎ρ༎`)
I just know only cishets would feel bad for nagizuka LMAO I can feel it
KRZJENRKZJENRKZEJNR TRUE TRUE TRUE
Lol, why? What would cishets be missing that other types would not?
I mean yeah, he's annoyingly clingy and he almost outed the mc in public, but that was also because the super macho scary jealous boyfriend decided the *classroom* was the best place to "teach him a lesson" (you've got to admit, that would've probably turned out to be the the seme's worst choice of a setting for their confrontation, if he didn't happen to be a nifty demon with such handy "attention diverting" powers).
Also, even if the way Nagizuka made him admit he had a boyfriend was underhanded, he readily admited he was also a guy so I don't get why the mc had to get so upset... I mean, if he was ever gonna get a boyfriend "in the ordinary way" he would still have had to learn how to safely convey his interest to the right people... as not all gays can expect to sooner or later bump miraculously into some gay, lovingly overprotective demon boyfriend...
Are you cis or het or both?
Why don’t you understand why the mc was so upset tho he was outed that’s a horrible thing to happen to a person
if they're straight and cis, they don't know the pain.
^^^Yup! either way, the BI person should’ve known better if anything furthermore, everyone is different and have different experiences which the mangaka just didn’t decide to show. So yes he did “get so upset” and what about it? ( ˘ω˘ )
If it's just between two friends, and the friend that outs the other says he wanted to know in order to date him because he is also into guys? Then no, I don't get it. And I'm saying this about their very first conversation about it, not about the time the friend almost outed him in the classroom in front of everybody (which I do agree was enough reason to cut ties, but then so was the boyfriend choosing the crowded classroom to confront the "stalking friend", of all places).
As for the being tricked into admiting he had a boyfriend, when it was just between the two friends, I get that it'd be somewhat scary because it'd feel risky when someone else finds out, but if that someone is also admiting he likes his same gender too, and days pass without him "exposing his sexuality", then why stay upset with that friend for days? Why do people say it was violation of trust even *before* the friend said anything in front of other people?
I'm asexy
Everyones experience is different and this character is just one example. Doesn’t mean he couldn’t have done it your version but the way it was written is valid. The character itself, makoto, is very timid, which is demonstrated in the fact that he barely believed in shiro and his relationship to be. Also, for a clearly not accepted environment and never coming out to anyone, there’s no way that someone as timid as makoto would not be upset.
Either way, the lgbt+ experience is very varied but neither I or the mangaka would be able to explain it well in a general sense. My first comment applied to this because you’ll never understand or AT LEAST be empathetic if you aren’t LGBT+.
Just because he is also bi doesn’t mean he can out other gay people he could’ve just asked him not force him out especially if he likes him. You can’t just out someone too they tell you when they wanna tell you. By the way they could’ve done this is a private place but he decided to do it at school where people could overhear.
Hm, I see. I think I can understand what you mean now.
It just makes me a little depressed because he spent so much time feeling lonely and scared while being right next to a friend who could've at least made him feel accepted, even if they didn't actually date. It's heartbreaking.
Yes, I guess my main problem with all this is how depressing it is the story made it so someone as timid as the mc could only the "safest" choice of a first confidant in the most outlandish, realistically-impossible option ever: a nonhuman supernatural being, rather than with any fellow human being of the lgbt community (even while staying as just friends...). I mean, since that isn't an option that timid gay people have in real life, the implication is pretty depressing.
*could only find the "safest" choice for a first confidant
Lmaoo i want a magic demon girlfriend
Yeah, me too! If it's a magic demon with cool powers who likes to protect you, satisfies you in bed and even respects your privacy, lol, I'd take them in any gender, form and orientation!
Right *^*
hmm imo he develops from his shyness because he’s in a relationship that he never thought he’d get. Also, not everything has to be realistic but lets say it is, the author still makes shiro a human but only after makoto believes that he can love shiro equally. It’s as if, the person you like will always be there, but you got to work on yourself first which is why shiro says he’s basically only for him, like fate, but also because he needed to be human first in the plot.
