I am making this comment because I am seeing a loud resurgence in this Fandom, and I am rightfully disturbed. This is about multiple comments on multiple sites that I have seen where people talk about and ship Sebastian and Ciel together- the demon and the literal. Kid. Disgusting. Even if fictional, he is a child, and one with a large amount amount of trauma regarding adults, and his 'bond' with Sebastian is like the bond livestock has with its farmer.
I will say this. I am tired. I feel as though the loud majority have become less and less shameful over the years- I dont even want to mention the 2014 era- that shit was awful and another time entirely.
These types of people who fetishize a tragic character like Ciel, a child who has gone through so much pain and loss, who forced himself to overcome and grow up, yet is also self centered and focused on his goals...It disgusts me. Like any sexualization of children does and SHOULD do.
I understand that this is a minority of the fan base, and I also particularly understand why. I will admit, at 12 when I was first getting into this from the anime, I also shipped Sebastian and Ciel. I was guilty of that. I found Sebastian attractive, and used Ciel as a POV character for me. But now that I am an ADULT and have an ADULT BRAIN that understands the difference between RIGHT and WRONG, I have since stopped. In fact, I stopped when I was 14 because I really thought about it and went "ewe, thats really gross actually" and I cringe at myself to this day. Perhaps that minority are in fact minors who are doing what I once did, sure. Still gross. HOWEVER. I have SEEN and READ comments and things from fully brained ADULTS who SHOULD know better, but dont. They are loud. They are crass. They jump to conclusions more than my Nan.
Readers like that are the reason why I have to second guess recommending this series to anyone.

It's NOT!!, unfortunately yes it had some weird scenes sometimes in the first seasons, yes it did address the child rapes and abuse and labor BUT it did NOT glorify it! Neither treated it like a pacing event in the manga for fun or action, since the very first chapters till the last chapters it still adress the different victims traumas and the survivors guilts conditions, the anime feels disturbing because it deals with sensitive topics and bring to light the horrible things that can happen to people with different genders and age rages
The plot is so deep and dark it naturally makes you feel sick sometimes
