Ever since I noticed that the sex scenes just repeat the same pattern over and over, I laugh every damn time. The start of chapter 48 is a great example;
Ahjussi says something sadistic > Yuan goes along with it > it cuts to his face slightly blushing with furrowed eyebrows and sighing over him > repeat.
At least the plot’s picking back up again.
For those who may not know, the dream in chapter 171 is likely a reference to a story in Japanese folklore centred around two deities, Orihime and Hikoboshi, who were two lovers trapped on the opposite side of the Milky Way and could only meet once a year. (You can look up Tanabata festival for more information on it.)
That folklore story was getting mixed up into the song they fell asleep to, hence the zebra, lol
I actually really enjoyed this one, even if I have mixed feelings about it from a quality standpoint.
But man, the laughing fit I had when I realised it took 60-something chapters for a single female character to show up.
No hate or anything, it’s just author preference, but the realisation took me the fuck out, lmao
Well, this is uncomfortable. First time in a while I’ve actually dropped something instead of toughing it out.
“Plenty of those working here are younger than you are. And yet… you seem so young to me… that I forget how to behave myself.”
There are too many problematic issues in this work that don’t seem properly addressed and are simply romanticised instead. A romance between 2 people with a decent age gap, in which one has only ever relied on the other as a teacher and parental figure, and is the sole person in his tiny world, is just not for me.
That being said, it’s but a work of fiction, and I’m not here to judge any who enjoy simply reading it. Just giving my own two cents.
They made it way too accurate for a historical manhwa that it’s so uncomfortable to read….
From “my child” to literally fucking him a few chapters later was diabolical to read…
Goddamn…
If they were going to make fiction, then maybe try not to lean towards historical people’s sick and disturbing sexual stigma… carnal desire apparently matters more to them than morality…
Kinda wanna bleach my eyes now

Damn, this one was actually as good as I remember it. I almost teared up a second time.
