To a lot of people, women dating women isn’t normal either, it is even prohibited in some countries. To a lot of people, being transgender, a furry, liking rock music, riding a skate, playing videogames, not having a religion, and many other things isn’t normal either. This is just a fictional work, I highly doubt anyone here has romantic feelings for their mother/daughter. And even if they have, does it concern you? Or me? Everything we judge “normal” is simply based on the influences in our lives (government, family, education, religion, media, etc), but in nature none of our opinions matter. Everyone has a free will in the end of the day… well, even you, using it to say the most average words everyone always says in a yuri like this.

I remember when in the “I love your cruddy” comment section a lot of people were calling it disgusting. Now, every newbie yuri reader has read it (and likes it).

It is simply a matter of perspective…
Also sorry for the long rambling but I’m really tired of people entering a comment section just to say that something “isn’t normal”, like son: you are in fucking MANGAGO reading yuri/yaoi, you’d be in jail if you were caught doing it in certain places of this Earth. You have brought up a really good point! Made me rly scratch my head fs haha. After some research, I have come to the same conclusion but with some exceptions. I know this is a little long but would appreciate it if u read it all.
Firstly, comparing different situations such as homosexuality, playing video games, and being a furry is a very slippery slope as they all have different contexts, nuances, and weights to them. They all have different reasons why people didn’t consider them acceptable.
Secondly, most things we consider ‘normal’ or socially acceptable are there for a reason and in most cases, for the sake of the general public. Therefore, I don’t think it’s reasonable to dismiss everything that the general public considers normal.

And now to finally get into the incest part. Incest has existed since the dawn of time. However as the population grows, it stops becoming necessary. And they also come to find out that inbreeding too much is a genetic nightmare that produces children with severe disabilities. Due to this, evolution comes into play. People learn from their mistakes and start saying incest is bad. Back then there weren’t effective contraceptives so they were sure to create an offspring.
Now we get to the modern world. We have come to acknowledge and accept homosexuality. There are also proper contraceptives now. These two scenarios don’t produce offspring so the argument about the offspring falls apart and this is the part that made me scratch my head lol. My conclusion to this is that if u don’t create offsprings, there’s nothing wrong with incest.
HOWEVER, there are still a lot more factors we have to keep in mind. Family members that are wayyy older such as parents, uncles, aunts, etc, has an unequal power over them. This is where the most important issue, grooming, comes in. There’s no situation in this world that makes grooming ok because children have underdeveloped brains that are easy to take advantage of. Combine that with the power that a parent holds over their child. The children can’t eat if their parents don’t feed them. They can’t survive without their parent’s support.

To get to the context of this manga the daughter is the one that initiated it yes. However, every adult has the responsibility to not engage with it and escalate it to the point that the mom in this manga has.

Doing research on this reminded me of the argument on why cannibalism is bad. Incest still exists in this modern world even with all this taboo. Idk if you’ve seen but there’s a documentary on one of the most inbred families in America. My point is that this taboo and laws against incest tries to protect it from happening as much as possible. Therefore the reason I, and many other ppl feel disgusted when they hear about incest is our survival instinct. Hopefully this answers your question. If I also talk about why homosexuality is different from incest and is acceptable, it would be too long so I’m gonna stop here. :)

U mean the part where she kept refusing but was ignored. Also the part where she was physically overpowered. There was no consent for sexual advances. I get that she’s trying to protect her but that’s not what her actions look like. If she truly cared about her, she would’ve heard her out on why she did what she did. If u noticed, she didn’t give one fuck. All she cared about was her body. Even if she seems to be ‘enjoying’ the ‘sex’ later on, that’s not valid anymore cuz she’s being confined in the small room with her being the only connection. That is literal definition of Stockholm syndrome. So to answer your question, yes, I did read it and it’s textbook definition of sexual assault.
