not the best, but not the worst either. art is decent enough but the same face syndrome is so jarring i literally cant tell anyone from everyone also there are too many things that felt like it required context, but it just spewed some vague business elite buzzwords as if everyone understands what's happening in the story. there's too little context on the story i cant tell most characters' relationships with each other. i feel like they build a complex world and system around it, but never properly explain it: like the island where youngjin lives alone, and what do the two items do to each other (like we know the second item is a weapon data saved in a laptop that cant be charged etc etc, but why does it have to be like that? then what is the purpose of the first item? smt like that). also the conclusion felt dull. theres no consequence for the guy that basically put a time limit in youngjin's life just bc he can? like? the fuck?

for something i saw people glazing over, this is lowkey dogshit. terrible ass story i couldn't believe it was based on a novel.
inseob is so fucking stupid most of the time he didnt act like someone who'd do illegal shit to get some dirt off of wooyeon like???? that part where he confronted that nasty ass actor for a convo like GIRL DONT BE STUPID? i wouldnt comment about him still simping over that psycho even after the terrible things he did BUT GOD IS HE FUCKING STUPID. FUCKING STUBBORN FOR NO REASON??? so wishy-washy too like im sorry hawaii was a whatever part but that part where he was basically moody over wooyeon showing cares just bc "he doesnt think he deserves kindness" OH STFUUUUU GROW A SPINE!!!! wooyeon is terrible af too. but ig understandable. his character was created that way and it was pretty consistent until the end, and its clear its a toxic yaoi from the start. but GOD that didnt make it any easier to read. he was SO horrible sometimes i felt bad for inseob. the imbalance is too apparent like inseob not having any agency at all in this relationship and it definitely hurts to see sometimes. like its not "just" toxic yaoi, its a straight up abuse storu. also that fuckass is too horny god reading his horny lines are so fucking cringey. and yeah i get that he needed that one wakr up call to snap and realize he liked inseob too, whatever, but that took TOO long. it dragged too unnecessarily long for such a quick conclusion. it was unsatisfying. that climax arc could've been done at like ch. 80 or smt and the rest could've just been about wooyeon trying to adjust his life with his newfound emotion. but noooo 90% of the story is just torturing inseob for no reason while inseob didnt even fucking did anything for his supposed revenge.
and dont get me started with jennie. artist tried to design her to be "loveable" but god she's just as horrendous as the rest. delusional af, stubborn and selfish too. it lowkey felt unfair that she was framing wooyeon as this evil guy (i mean, he is) when he actually hadnt done anything to her at all. it gave me the ick too that she used her one and only friend to feed into her delusion even tho inseob refused at first. also the fallout felt unfair to me bc inseob didnt deserve to be treated like shit and basically be called slurs just bc she had a mental breakdown. and the idea that she was the heart donor for inseob not only doesnr make sense, but it felt icky too. urgh.
the end was ok, although rushed, but god that was too frustrating.
i literally just finished robber x lover and only just now realizing the couple that did volunteer work were cha-hui and sung-hyoo literally went back to check each chapter to see if i was mistaken (i wasnt and they appeared in ch 80?????? they appeared much later than i expected)
