Derrick truly is a shitty brother and his feelings are weird but I don’t personally think he deserves to die. He lost his sister and felt all this time that it was his fault. So when said sister come back alive I get that he wants to protect her (we alone saw how much of a bitch she was, he didn’t), plus the brainwashing was easy because his mind was fragile after the loss and the come back of his sister. So yes he doesn’t deserves forgiveness, he needs to repent endlessly, but he doesn’t deserves death.
