This is kinda a fun fact but SSR-kun once shown as someone who confessed to hatano! But the canonical is kinda vague (hatano isnt a canon character originally as well). It seems the mangaka loves the design so much they decided to put him into a situation with MC and Hatano XD
Basically hatano only show up on bonus content where basically the mangaka made some AUs like typical omake on other manga. Hatano's first appearance on ch.0 in mangago (not canon, bonuscontent for vol 2) and reappear on ch 60 (canon/main story, vol 4).
The bonus content kinda varies depending on purchase, i never accessed said contents. But there's AU where MC is a mob in RPG game while Hatano is a hero who confessed to him (iirc its a bonus content from the recent volume), and there's also AU where MC, Mayama (BL mangaka), Mizumoto (mind reader guy) as a trio bestfriends while in main story they barely interact. It seems theres also a content explaining Hatano couldn't drink black coffee and a bad cook? But im at the point i cant predict if those informations are canon or popular headcannons..

To add on this, hatano originally was created as a result of a poll where the mangaka asked the readers to vote for her manga in a manga popularity poll. If she got to a certain position she would draw a manga where the main character get into a situation where he cannot destroy a flag and the result was the creation of Hatano.
He was supposed to be a one time character but he became very popular among readers and Konkichi started to add him in extra content comics with the high schoolers (making it into a situation where he existed in a parallel world that was also linked to the main story. Very weird)
At the third year anniversary of his creation for the extra manga, the author added Hatano to the main story. It was quite a shock for readers who were already familiar with him.
Like i was a bit confused why mc abort the plan because ssr and hatano would be slow burn but i realized hatano hold off his confession because hes still a minor and asked mc to wait three years for him in their second meet
Two weeks ago, I opened mangago but it said mangago denied(?)me to access. After 5 days, it works normally and three four days ago, mangago blocked me again. What must I do?
Aku coba pake pure vpn negara belanda baru bisa, dan internet ga bisa pake indo.... Vpn ga mau connect, musti indo..., well masih bagus dach, masih buka, mudahan cepet normal lagi (/TДT)/ (/TДT)/ (/TДT)/

Now I'm curious. If you could pls fill me in on why wasn't Hatano canonical in the beginning? Like, did the manga direction change?

Thank you for this insight!
