It said he had a miscarriage and went mute from the trauma, so it can be reasoned that the baby died. The child at the end must be their first child which was being raised by his sister. This is basically an anthology so they can only make so many chapters unfortunately. But yeah, was absolute shit from beginning to end and actually made me cry for the uke.
