You have that perception because, in the other stories, Grayson was portrayed from the perspectives of other characters rather than his own! Grayson is, by far, the most misunderstood character in the series. Because he doesn't understand his own emotions and "helps" people in his own twisted way, he was wrongly perceived as a maniac, a villain, or someone wicked—but that isn't the reality. Grayson actually cares about Chase. If you read the *Kiss Me If You Can* novel to the end, you'll see that he even seeks out Josh to prevent Chase from losing his mind. He never raped anyone. He even helps Yeonwoo escape the pheromone party in *Kiss Me Liar*. Unfortunately, information about Grayson was always presented from other people's perspectives, and they weren't reliable narrators. If you read all the novels and piece everything together, you'll understand that Grayson has always been this way and there are no inconsistencies whatsoever.

Yep! As someone who read lick me if you can and Desire me if you can novels first, I was quite biased towards Grayson and tried to understand his actions from KMIYC but Im well aware of his so called actions/help might not be the best way and it led to chase's trauma. But I can't help but feel lovable towards Grayson still because he's literally adorable in his novel.
