like the Jihan glaze fest is actually going insane
It's like they want us to know at any given moment how Jihan is the strongest person in the world and the most handsome person in the world and is the richest person in the world and has the biggest heart of gold in the world and is the best chef in the world and has the most social media followers in the world. But of course he also has a tragic past! So tragic it makes the person who is suffering from major trauma want to cry because it's just oh so tragic and reinforces how he's the most perfect person in the world. Not that it matters though because Jihan is so amazing he would have been perfect even without his tragic past. But still don't forget he did have a tragic past and it's the saddest most tragic past in the world. Also is randomly an "expert" in quantum physics
Also not related to Jihan, but excuse me while I lmao at everyone being like "Wow! Is that Flight of the Bumblebee?! I didn't know it was possible for someone to perfectly play Flight of the Bumblebee!!! This is the most amazing thing I've ever experienced!"
Sometimes there's things in Yaoi mangas that make you stop for a second and just be like, ".. Really?" Or even turn you off to a story completely.
There's a couple things I think are especially hjkfjghg:
1) "Looks like you're already getting wet back there." That's not how male anatomy works, I always find that hilarious.
2) When the character looks 8 years old but is actually 17/19/25 or whatever. (Not just in Yaoi, but manga in general) I mean I guess some people think it's cute or something, but it's not my cup of tea, thank goodness this person is usually the like background friend, but then it gets weird if they get their own story because even if they are "old" I'm not into shota. (●￣(ｴ)￣●)
3) Omegaverse. I can't read them, it's always rape, omegas are always miserable and hate themselves for being omega, they go into heat, get raped by an alpha, bitten on the neck and magically soul mates??? If I open up a manga and see that diagram of the gross deformed alpha dick at the beginning I just nope the fuck out. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
These are just a couple things that are my personal opinion, I've been reading Yaoi for years so it's not like I hate it, but there's just some little things... I could probably list a million more silly things, but I think I'll keep it to my top 3. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
I actually like omegaverse. It's not exactly a gold mine for plot, but I dig it whenever I just wanna have a relaxing afternoon reading pwp. It's gaining popularity lately, and I'm not mad at it.

literally waited the whole story to see Shin Suyeon get what she deserves, but in the end all she gets is Lee Jin being like "I'll make sure to let her know she needs to do better don't worry"
