Just putting it out here.
I personally feel that Dohyun is the one that first ruin the relationship (I'm not justifying Sungho's action, just an observation I made.) Dohyun seems to be the kind that expect his lover to do everything for him. Be the first to find him, be the first to go to him and ect. Dohyun seems to be the kind that expect his lover to follow through with what he wants as can be seen in some of the chapter like pressuring Sungho in doing sexual stuff with him. When Sungho had express his refusal to do certain activity, it causes Dohyun to immediately think that Sungho has a change of feeling. To ensure Sungho will continue to stay with him, Dohhyun purposely avoided Sungho just so Sungho will become desperate and cling to him. Through these actions, it can alright be seen that the relationship between them is not at all equal.
However, whatever happens in the past, Sungho should not have resort to kidnapping, rape and ect. This itself is his own decision and action, which is clearly wrong. If Sungho wants to patch things up with Dohyun, he should have use other methods and not all those things he did in the manhwa. This time it is Sungho that is causing the relationship to be unequal for both party. And I do believe in if you love someone, you should let him go. If he comes back to you, then he's your, but if he don't, then he was never yours in the first place.
After all that, whatever that had happened is definitely a stain on their relationship. Not to mention the psychological suffering both of them have. (Yes, I do believe Sungho is suffering psychologically from this. Perhaps overwhelming guilt or something.) The point is both of them are hurt by each other and had hurt each other. (Pls dont argue who had hurt the opposition more. There are both side to the story) Just keeping an open mind here: if they do end up together, it will still be quite awful as there will still be distrust between them. Which quite frankly will only cause the relationship to break. If they really want to be together, they need to step up their game to communicate and be of equal standing. If they dont end up together (which is more realistic), then I can only hope that Dohyun would slowly heal from the traumatic experience and perhaps learn to be less passive in any future relationship. As for Sungho, I hope he would serve his sentence and reflect on his action. Then perhaps try to get over his obsession with Dohyun and learn to move on.
Everything is fluffy and smutty, until you remember....
This relationship started with a rape. Okay, bye(⌒▽⌒)╭
Unfortunately it’s just how most Yaois are, as long as readers understand the difference between real life and fiction it’s fine I suppose
