So far there hasn't been a time skip, don't know about the raws though

sorry to necropost but! the "ten year" comment was made because shin knew akira when he was a kid (so shin was about 7/8, akira was 17/18), just before akira went to spend the next mentioned ten years in tokyo.
while there has been no timeskip yet we're steadily watching time pass (shin is already looking for the college he'll enroll in once he graduates HS) and I have a feeling we will have a timeskip when he does get into college, since med school is at least 6 years with the obligatory residency period... but I'd say we have at least 2 more volumes before we reach that point.
