For me, Jinx's repentance and apology aren't enough to make up for what he did. After everything he put the protagonist through, being sorry is the bare minimum.
I still took the time to read the rest because of a debate on TikTok, but I honestly can't understand the appeal of this type of character. What bothers me most is the huge imbalance between the severity of his actions and the way the story ends.
The message ends up feeling like: "I got together with my rapist and abuser because he changed, and now we're in love." Personally, that doesn't work for me. The ending feels disconnected from everything that happened before and doesn't seem like a believable or satisfying resolution.
