No, he doesn't have Stockholm syndrome. And he doesn't choose to be with Zhenya, though he might look stupid and dense (Which he sometimes is), he is very much emotionally strong, and Tae doesn't get obsessed with him yet, its that he is captured, he sees no option but to give in, he will soon escape and leave with olga back to Korea, he doesnt care for zhenya (Acc to the novel), he is just behaving coy to earn the best chance to escape. i believe people sometimes forget Tae is a NIS agent. i read the novel, so i know, after escaping, the chasing arc will start, but after that, its zhenya that will suffer (emotionally) till the very end because of his current actions. (And he will regret raping tae and suffer for it till the end spoiler- we also have an amnesia arc), Even at the worst situation where Tae is announced as a national terrorist by both Russia and Korea, he only lets Zhenya help because of his own needs, so no- he doesn't give a shit about Zhenya.(Because of Tae, i started feeling bad for Zhenya at the end, though he got what he deserved.)

So how do they end up together?

Straight to the point- they do.

It's a long story but its similar to passion. Zhenya becomes devoted to taek and even after tae treats him bad while they are dating. (Tae was not a very good bf) still they stick around. And in the amnesia arc (which is the 2nd part of the novel) due to some accident( Very big one) tae loses his memories and only remembers zhenya as his raper, he starts hating him and tells him to get lost from his old trauma. Zhenya though was sad and guilty, he listens and leaves taek forever and after sometime, tae remembers all of his memories and comes back to this island to find zhenya but alarms the island's protection missiles by invading. And a lot happened, they get bombed and both of cries, ready to die for the other and lastly have sex. The end.

I gave a one shot to the whole plot but ofcourse a lot happens before they reach this part. In the manhwa, we will need to wait for 3 more years for this part judging how long han takes hiatus.
