It’s kills me when stories have this like major secret one character is hiding that would destroy the relationship and to give the relationship a happy ending, the author is like actual it never technically happened!

This development seems kinda rushed. The author was slowly developing his empathy but now his old coach is like what’s the purpose of life and JK has an internal monologue about how he likes Dan and how badly he’s been treating him?
Like just before the flashback JK was like hmmmm why was I happy Dan didnt drown. Before, he didn’t recognize anything he was doing was wrong and always made excuses or blamed others and now he’s suddenly mature
This isn’t even considered as “character development” Jaekyung character never changed all he did was realize his feelings for Dan Kim…That’s all and all he’s gonna do is start acting nice to Dan Kim….he never changed he’s the same person from the very first chapter.
I fr thought he was about to beat the old man up for calling him rude
