For me, it's because there's more romance in yaoi rather than shoujo. Sometimes, shoujo makes women to be weak and in need of help all the time. It gets really annoying. Not all women are like that. Plus, yaoi has more fluffy romance that doesn't involve a human incapable of thinking on its own. 2 reply
