The Caelus actually loved Richard since the very beginning and knew all about the regressions but he needed to protect Richard from the villain that’s why he pursued Daphne. Also, the reason why Caelus looked irritated when he’s with Richard is because the story is in Richard’s pov

O.M.G???? soo like lemme get this straight (unlike them (pun intended)) he actually liked richard??? Thennn likkeee if he liked richard y is he like "gahhh this man is totally deceiving me, smtg is wrong, lemme follow him upto the mountain to know wat he is upto" etc etc??? Is there also a plot or reason from his pov for these???

It's kinda difficult to explain. U should read the spoilers in novel updates but in short they all r regressors Richard has amnesia and this is his 100th smth regression he is doesnt remember it and along the way caelus fell in love with him btw fl is trying to kill everyone to escape the novel so she kinda evil and in order to save Richard from evil FL he's trying his best to keep them apart and act like he's not interested in him but they all die anyways so it's kinda useless

They keep dying and regressing. The regression ends when all the characters stop sticking to the OG story(which Richard kept NOT doing) and in the end when he finally gives up on the OG story they finally escaped the regressions and uh happy ending for them ig

So that means the OG story has Richard marrying Daphne but why can’t Daphne herself reject Richard in the first place? And for Cailus to take Richard so they both are NOT following the main plot. Do these characters have a free will or are there gods controlling them like puppets because there’s no way not a single character who are basically regressors who thought of going against the OG story and so far only Richard is doing it shouldn’t Cailus be the one to pursue Richard to fall for him instead?

No in the OG storyline Daphne and caelus are end game and Richard is the 2nd ml. And the fact that u need to give up on the OG storyline to escape is basically not known at all literally Daphne starts killing everyone in her every regression js to figure out how to get out and caelus doesn't try to pursue Richard bcuz Daphne might try to kill him again so he kinda tries to keep Richard nugu, which he fails to bcuz Richard is...uh Richard
Btw it's not about following the OG storyline its about giving up on it , it's kinda hard to explain but Richard was the only one who was stuck with the OG storyline

Ohhh okay i got really confused with the “richard kept NOT doing” after reading this… does Daphne just not have the typical FL plot armor that all romfan FLs have? they always diverge from the OG story but she doesn’t know? Maybe i need to read the novel someday because its kind of hard to follow the story’s logic after reading tons of plots where MC or og MC diverges from the plot at the beginning. I wanna talk more about Cailus and Richard because I wanna see their endgame but my head cant wrap around how Daphne, a transmigrated female lead did not once thought of “i’ll walk my own path instead of following the original plot”

After regressions Daphne and caelus gave up on the og storyline and Richard had a amnesia phase so he thought the og storyline is the actual story line so basically he's the only one believing in it and Daphne wanted to escape the novel not stay in it and her first brilliant idea was to try killing characters of the novel to see and find and clues on how to get out so she kinda did try to diverge from the og novel
