The story is really good and the manipulation aspect of it all is incredibly tame compared to others, all the ml has actually done is kinda confess and not really isolate mc (or well we haven’t seen him do it on screen. Also ml calling out mc for having lied that a teacher was looking for him isn’t all that bad tho ill intentioned). Ml is one of the semes in this genre of manga that I can actually stand behind for now (hopefully he doesn’t go crazy after)
