I haven't read the whole thing yet and have stopped at chapter 7 because every bit of dialogues and expositions feel like NOTHING is absolutely going ANYWHERE.
and why is nobody likeable here? why is park byul so ass? like i get that his attitude is just bc hes kinda going through the moody adolocence, kinda like park dojin was during the first part of LIAL, but why is he so ass???? AND WHY IS HYESUNG LETTING HIS ASSNESS SLIDE??????? I was so put off by that bc OG LIAL HYE-SUNG WOULD NOT HAVE TOLERATE ALL OF BYUL'S SHIT IN THIS.
maybe it was just bc we got to see all the shit hye-sung went through while birthing and raising byul, but i just got so annoyed at byul acting like that to his parents. and hyesung being ooc too?? letting byuls shit slide like bbroooo what is happening
and i ABSOLUTELY rolled my eyes and sighed exasperatedly when hye-sungs mom came in cause COME ON. the storywriting was already so ass and U JUST HAD TO BRING THE MOM IN AGAIN???? AND LOOKING AT THE COMMENTS, IT SEEMS LIKE HYESUNG IS GONNA END UP FORGIVING HIS MOM?? WTAF???
for me personally, love is an illusion has already ended at the last chapter of side story 2 [before the artstyle changed], and this was when hye-sung has finally let go of his past and promised a life where he's not gonna let all the things that his parents did to him affect his own family anymore. THAT'S WHERE THINGS SHOULDVE ENDED. [for me personally]
so this just makes the whole hyesungs mom coming back in their life thing so sad. why did this one have to get back to LIAL's past conflicts when it coulve just made new ones? like isnt this a new arc as well? why go back to the things that hye-sung have gone through like that?
maybe im being soooo dramatic rn but idk i guess its all each to our own. I mean tgis was also just one of those bl man/man that i really cherished even tho they werent perfect at all hence why im so pressed abt this. like hyesung was honestly an annpying shit too sometimes in LIAL but i think he was still a good character that doesnt deserve to be done dirty like this thats all. atp ill jjust delude myself into thinking it all did end at ss2 of LIAL and this didnt rlly happen HAHAHAHHAAH im outta here
