Hello, can someone pls summarize the entire manhwa from the beginning for me. Pretty please because i read this manhwa 3x up to season 2(?) ish and im just so scared for some reason on rereading it.
Since even the smallest things have huge impact on the story, It's difficult to summarize it but I'll try. I summarized it in Dohun's pov since he's a more reliable narrative. Dohun, our male lead, is an illegitimate child. He lives with his mother, who is mentally unstable, until she dies from grief and abandons him. He lives in his dad's basement for a while until his brother (who physical and verbally abuses him) leaves him in a playground's bathroom. He meets a pushover child who saves him from being grazed with glass and that's no one other than Yuwon. Dohun sees his mother in the way he acts; taking out his anger on him by blaming him yet showing that he doesn't hate him. After that day, he daydreams about Yuwon while enduring abuse from his half-brother who is a drug addict. He meets Yuwon again in hs and he sees that Yuwon is still a pushover who's being constantly bullied. Ironically, Yuwon has no clear memories of being bullied and believed those people were his friends and they only left him because of Dohun. They spend two month together where Dohun asks for a house from his dad just so they can live together. At the end of those two months, he leaves. 13 years later, he ascends to the title team leader in a company thanks to the vice chairman, aka his father. In the company, he meets Yuwon again who is still a pushover who allows his co-workers to step on him because he believes he's at fault. Dohun believes that everyone around Yuwon is the source of his unhappiness and wants to get rid of them. He insists to Yuwon that he can make him happy and isolates him from others by getting rid of those who try to get close to him, especially a close friend of his named Seongmin. He also occasionally meets his step bro and Mr. Oh (the guy who steps all over on Yuwon at work). He uses Mr. Oh to manipulate Yuwon and break into his mind. Yuwon eventually finds out about his step brother needing him to survive and his secret meetings with Mr Oh. After spending some time together, things start to worsen. Yuwon starts spiralling and tells Dohun that they don't love each other and that they should break up. This makes Dohun snap and assault Yuwon because he trily believes they're quote unqouote "destined to be". We are still currently seeing the past from Dohun's POV and haven't seen any progress on the present timeline.
As someone who read till the last chapter in just less than two days, I feel like it's totally worth rereading it. I tried to summarize it as clear and short as I could but it's really difficult with how detailed the story is and how those details affect the story. I recommend rereading but if you're fine with just the summary then it's your choice.

I’m currently on ch 4 trying to re read the story but like I’ve skimmed through the recent chapters and it’s Dohun’s entire family that rly creeps and freaks me out. Like they’re just so weird and I’m curious on the missing ear and idk if it’s just me but Dohun’s half older brother reminds me of the protagonist in a way but maybe I’m just assuming that cause I haven’t read the recent chapters.
No problem! His family is indeed disturbing. And I never thought about Dohun's half brother being similar to Yuwon... maybe you think they're familiar because both blame Dohun for inconveniences and both seem to be pretty paranoid? That's the only similarities I could think of.
Yes! They both seem to have paranoia (dealing with mental health) and ik it’s stupid but their hair style and color looks the same .
I’ve decided to read this manhwa and I’m currently on chapter 30. All I wanna do is rip my heart out and cry, it’s so painfully beautiful reading this story as I am also a musician and artist. In a way it reminds me of the manga “Piano no Mori”, there is also a anime version and I highly recommend it!

Omg I thought PianoNoMori fandom died 5 years ago . Happy to meet a fellow fan and yes I’m sorry for recommending the anime version. Manga is super peak while the studio f’d up the animation where I assume they probably used 3d rigging animation on the part where the characters play the piano.
they were... ever alive...? idm the performance tbh they were quite nice... i just feel like the anime cuts so many important parts... like amamiya povs... (like literally he's treated very unimportant in the anime while the manga is actl very intense thanks to the amamiya pov side too...).. also like mc's struggle of being a child of red light district woman... so unfortunate but at least we got peak manga..:")
also good luck finishing this manhwa!!!! after 100 chapters of pain and despair its actl very rewarding and became one of my top 3 10/10 BL manhwa now! witness this masterpiece with meeeee!!
Thank you! I’m in like chapter 30 something and I feel sick to my stomach and just grotesque cause I’m starting to get a glimpse of what the professor is going through and the manipulation towards mc. But yes there is a small fandom and editors on tik tok still making edits!
