Theoretically (heavy emphasis) could be a decent enough statement on feeling like an outsider of society or struggling with internalized “taboo” emotions/etc. but ends up just being extremely tone deaf with the worldbuilding. Like sorry do you want me to feel bad for you? Because you’re straight? I can understand suspension of disbelief to some degree but this is just ridiculous.
