I love Fairy Tail with a passion, but the plot is so predictable they have been using the same ideas since the beginning of Fairy Tail. The only interesting arc was Tartoros and arguably Alvarez arc. With 100 Year quest I was expecting more challenges and the members finally showing their growth but instead theyre still being put down and theyre just continuing to grow? Which makes no sense because they’re already so strong (talking about you Gray and Natsu).
Lucys character by far has been being downplayed the most, she is still be displayed as incapable of battling by herself in my eyes. We barely ever see her battle, and if she is, she always has someone (minus her spirits) with her. Or when she has a chance they completely just give her the clap and make her lose. They gave her 2 big buffs, mixing star dresses and a Dragon gods gate key (ik she just got the key recently) and theyre goated but the fact that her star dress mixed form only last for like a second bffr.
The only one really with a script going well for them is Wendy. Her growth is understandable, she is displaying new spells she has learned, we are seeing what she is capable of and it is great.
I used to defend the power of friendship but like seriously, its 100 year quest now, something even Guildarts the strongest wizard in the guild couldnt beat. I was expecting more depth i guess and change, its been years and it is fine to give the characters some new lore
There is absolutely to much going on in this story. To many misunderstandings, to many secrets and to much basically cheating. Neither if them are good for each other, theyre cute but literally the terms of their characters wont work out. Besides what i mentioned before there is also to much violence too all if a sudden like not even just physically im genuinely getting irritated reading this
Omg I love Johnathan. He had feelings but was remained loyal as a guard and friend and didnt push to seek anything else. I love his character and how they didnt make him into some tragic 2nd ML that actively attempted to pursue the FL, that wouldve been so devastating.
I kinda wished tho that we got to see the Dukes sister try to pursue him, it wouldve been nice to see his romantic endig
Guys this is such peak writing though, like I love a good character with good writing. We peek into the cracks of what makes them this way and get a better understanding. Villains/ Antagonist especially are so interesting, theres usually never any focus on the villain in a story. Seeing his pipeline is so refreshing lowk.
.
Its sad because Ruby is being tormented, but we are seeing how deteriorated Ceasars becoming. From a brother who was at least trying in his own way to protect Ruby to becoming the villain who was nurtured and taught that the only way to get what you want is through fear and demand.
.
I dont wish for reconciliation or happiness for Ceasar because what he did is irreversible but I like do hope for his downfall to show him bliss. Like in the sense that being free from your family was your true freedom and that he was raised in fucked conditions. Death or prison truly seems like his last light. I dont see him as a character free from punishment

Is it bad that i hope that Juvia doesnt come back? I just want a changee like Hiromashima is always baiting us with everything. Having a loss is not that bad. But knowing FairyTail Juvia is gonna make a comeback somehow
