What did he have?

To put it simply, let's say ML dated (physically connection only) a guy named Kim (I don't actually remember his name) during the time he was in college. It wasn't a very serious relationship and ML was also seeing other people during this time as well. Peachy, Kim was an arrogant bastard of sorts, a Beta and most importantly purely a bottom. After some unfortunate event, his family ran into some money problems so he had to leave the country (England) but he asked ML for help because he wanted to finish his studies (I think during this time it was ML last year and Kim was a junior), ML wondering where he had the audacity to ask, did not help him. After all that ML found out that Shush, the sweet thing, was head over heels for someone, and unfortunately ML met them two years after their relationship began in Korea (⌒▽⌒), it was Kim, the little- anyways Shushu is an omega and is also a bottom, so two purely bottom people were dating! (ML's words) ML felt conflicted on whether to tell Shushu this or not but couldn't pull it together and so didn't end up saying anything to Shushu. To summarize what happened after, Kim was using Shushu to finish his studies abroad, they moved over there together and lived there for two/three more years together, before Shushu had the misfortune of walking in on Kim being mounted by another man, lost in pleasure (didn't even realize when Shushu came) in their bed. Eventually Shushu of course left and Kim followed after him upon finally taking note and they had a- well you can imagine and Kim in all his glory (still fully naked) (︶︿︶)＝凸 made Shushu fall (they were on the staircase of their apartment) and permanently injure his leg injury (Did I mention Shushu was a dancer?), which had just healed! Preventing Shushu from ever dancing again! Shushu was really depressed and so Kim lost his financing, but finished his last year after taking a year off somehow, the audacity! Anyways ML still hasn't told Shushu about his past with him and he feels guilty, if only he had told Shushu before, he wouldn't have to experience that- but hey! ╥﹏╥ that's how Shushu took up painting!

Omg poor shushu…. What about the main couple? What’s with his eyes at the end?

Oh- that's basically his trait of being a Ghost Alpha showing- when said alpha's knot there partner, they are able turn them from Beta to Omega, this process is known as changing in the novel, hence his eye color changes to grey, to represent that part of him (so whenever he try's a changing it happens)
