To be honest, I don't think I would even go back to being just friends after all that. It's too much emotional baggage for a man that can't even see how the woman he loves is truly feeling. I'm rooting for Haneul to just find someone else. Live her life, get better and slowly forget about this guy cause it's not worth the trouble.
Even if my heart still wants them to be end game, he fucked up so badly I can't even imagine accepting any other excuse anymore.
The reason this story is going "so slowly" is because it's psychological as well! The mind games and trauma is being shown from multiple perspectives so the reader gets an even more sense of suspence when reading each new chapter. It's intentional. And it's invredibly well made.
If this were a normal romance, don't you think we would have seen a bit more color? Everytime there is more color on the pages, it matches with their mood and feelings...but most of it is dark and gray, why do you think?
Just let the story progress for a few months, then come back to it and maybe you'll have less to complain about.

Idk if anyone else noticed but Taeha never really sets his own limits in the relationship? Except, maybe telling her to call him and whenever the ex is involved, but other than that, he only ever listens to what she says without truly contradicting her words and inconsistencies. If only he was most honest about his obsession with her. If he told her that she's his number one priority with words, cause our girl's pretty blind with actions (lovingly saying this). I think if he told her that he wants to feel like her number one priority too, maybe she'll come around her insecurities?? Oh god, I feel like this had been touched in the series at some point but it'd work better with the current development than before.
