I honestly think this is the first time I enjoyed the uploader as much as I did the story itself... 10/10.

Am I the only one very confused as to why working in the porn industry is seen as a terrible, awful thing to be ashamed of? Don't get me wrong, what Creed did to Ryan was a bit fucked (assuming Ryan wasn't into it), and the true villain in Ed having to turn toward porn in the first place is the US healthcare system, but porn isn't innately awful. It is as awful as the company allows it to be. Assuming the company doesn't allow *real* rape to happen (only consensual non-consent) and no one feels pressured to do anything they're not comfortable with, it's not a bad thing. Sex for money isn't inherently an evil thing.

I dunno, it just doesn't sit right with me that, except for Jennifer and the other woman, no one in the story seemed to acknowledge that it isn't porn's fault but Creed using people's feelings to share his artistic visions. It was also Chang's fault for making Ed so desperate he had no choice but to turn to porn, making him uncomfortable with being involved in it in any way, especially in something that became so popular since Creed himself was popular.

Right? I think so too. I was actually looking for reassurance until the end that working in the sex industry isn't bad at all.

It saddened me that it wasn't that emphasized in this. Also when Creed has up the company in the end. Like letting go of something dirty that was previously part of him doesn't feel right. It wasn't the industry's fault.

Exactly this. It felt more like avoidance and deflection rather than acknowledging what it was he did wrong. "It was the porn!" No, Creed, it was your own dismissal of people's emotions. It had very little to do with porn, and you could even keep owning a porn company without appearing in porn yourself (since I'm pretty sure until Ed showed up, he hadn't except early on in building up his brand?).

    Tsuki Yukino August 16, 2020 5:42 am

True. I'm not against him changing careers, in this case choosing screenwriting over producing porn. But I'm quite disappointed by the motivation to do so. As you've said, avoidance and deflection.

I was puzzled too at first but I think Creed was never ashameed with the industry at the beginning of the story when he was only thinking of himself, but that changed of course when he met Ed. Although he is fine with it he realized that it may not be case with Ed especially how his film getting criticized or them being in public scrutiny. He thinks Ed will live through the "crappy reality" he did, while he learned to deal with it, he thinks it's not that way with Ed. So I think it's more of how society is prejudicial and discriminatory to those working in the porn industry especially how it affects Ed/other people. Unless that changes that's a harsh reality they have too face.

Everyone's talking about how they're cousins and not how one was a kid when he propositioned an adult and the adult didn't find the underaged bit to be wrong (or wrong enough to stop)... yikes.

    Midna August 10, 2020 4:06 pm

Yeah this is... not great... If they changed him to be older and not his cousin then it would have been fine! But this? This is creepy.

I'm kind of sad and a bit frustrated that the entire thing with Beelzebub was just swept under the rug after Satan became human. Plus to go so far as to say he (even hypothetically) became a research assistant... He's been abused and tortured his entire life. Why the hell would he go into science like that? It just kind of left a bad taste in my mouth, how Satan's best friend was basically replaced by Sheryn. I liked her, don't get me wrong, but... I dunno. It felt disappointing.

thanks god I'm not the only one who thinks so,

Everyone is shitting on this, but honestly, it felt more real than anything else I've read. Characters are extremely flawed like real people are, they face challenges and struggle with inner demons the way real people would, and the ending was pretty realistic, including the last two chapters. Things aren't perfect for Don and Haero, and Haero still has his insecurities and doubts. And the story in general felt very realistic to reality (except, I must say, reality is a bit more homophobic, so there is that). People cheat, people break up for stupid reasons, people can't move on, people stay with someone who doesn't love them, so on. They all turned out okay in the end. Hopefully Don helps Haero work through his insecurities.

I want to give your comment 10 thumbs up because that is how the story struck my core...

i think this is the first time i was left truly disappointed by a webtoon. the art was nice, but the story left a hell of a lot to be desired.
