To anyone planning to read this, skip the prologue and start with chapter 1
It wasn't until I got to chap 60 that the story felt somewhat familiar, and I remembered this was something I picked up years ago, then dropped it because the prologue was so corny.
These days I don't read manhwa prologues because of spoilers, and boy am I glad because I could actually give this a chance this time lol
The actual story is so well written with in-depth characters. If like me, you had bypassed this because of the prologue, take a break, erase it from your mind, and come back and give the actual story a chance!

Tbh the intro to the ML candidates sounded so bland that I was confident the demon was going to be the actual ML lol

Why is this rated so high? I tried giving it a chance because the comments were so positive but I hit my limit at chapter 13

When the king and queen were announced I immediately went 'what? out here on the road?'. You can literally see the carriage wheel in the previous panel lol
I'm so used to having low expectations with any sort of historical accuracy in OI, and yet this one still took me by surprise
Knowing that this will end up as romance is making me gag. I really tried to read it but I can't get beyond chapter 9. This would have been a great psychological thriller but romance? Hell nah. It's toxic and I don't want them together in any capacity
