Okay so I’ve had this theory for awhile and think it’s finally time to share. So remember back in S1 when Adam said that one 100% known and proven side effect to the guiding enhancers was loss of eyesight, and that Adam himself experienced this? This whole scene got me thinking especially after Adam was questioning where his current eyes are from. Basically, I believe Isaiah (Adam’s Ex) and Esper Gabriel (Isaiah’s current partner and the defense esper) each gave Adam one of their eyes so that he can see. If you look at the S1 character designs, both Isaiah and Gabriel are have 1 grey and 1 black eye, and their black eyes are on different sides. I believe the black eyes are Adam’s old eyes… might be wrong but lmk what yall think
even in the memory, adam has grey eyes, unless this is deliberately set up by bwat-nim for a future reveal where adam actually had black eyes that turned grey from repeated use of inducers..
i actually believe that isiah and gabriel chose to swap their right eyes with each other after getting into their relationship; isiah has black eye on the right and gabriel has a grey eye on the right! and in the memory, isiah has two grey eyes and gabriel has two black eyes
my personal theory regarding adam's healed sight is that eve probably had some type of healing power (since not even eve himself knows how many types of power he holds) and healed adam's sight but couldn't heal adam's leg injury because of his corruption. and due to the injury, adam had to retire (as talked about in chapter 1) and most likely deemed himself useless after that. since he was "useless" he could no longer be of use to eve and chose to h@ng himself... idrk what use he had in trying to krill himself but that's just my thoughts!!

he does ask isiah in chapter 23 if he had any side effects from using inducers (primarily asking about loss of sight) since his memory was fuzzy. i can't remember if he experienced some memory flash from the past that brought it up. the only scene i can remember why adam would ask about side effects is when eve denied sex near the beginning of S1 because adam's heart rate would slow down after using the inducer

highly likely thats the case, im just surprised that the transplanted new eyes turned gray when theyre in adams body
