The medium is a beautiful young woman and she's gonna warn the victim to not get close to water. The victims feels like something ominous is about to happen and goes to the medium. The victim is also a woman and she has a male friend who's gonna go with her to the medium. That's just the first few chapters and I can't remember everything. an esper is like a human who has this energy inside him that gives them strength and powers meanwhile a guide is someone who regulates that energy so that the esper doesn’t go rampage (get crazy bc of the excess of energy)
An esper is someone w supernatural powers who fight monsters, systems, etc. Espers get exhausted from overuse of their powers. In order to rejuvenate them, guides give physical contact to espers. It depends on the story but usually the more intimate the contact, the more rejuvenating it is. Yes this is an excuse for the authors to write as much smut as humanly possible
Esper is someone who has power but when they overuse their power they can go berserk and hurt their self or people around them and thats where we need a guide to contain all that energy
