We might be misunderstood on how we see this manhwa.
This is not simply a love story, nor a revenge through divorce. It's how nasty and ruthless a Royal family handling things are. Countless collateral damage for simply incompetent power holder like what happend to Rashta, her child, and basically everyone who lost their life along the way. They advertised this as simply "i got cheated so i marry another hot king" was the first wrong step this manhwa ever done.
The first chapter is the plot. Were Neiver wants a divorce and get remarried to a new king.
The reason is cuz, Nevier kept getting blamed by Rasta and her husband was always on Rashta’s side. Her husband always paid more attention to Rashta cuz of the child too. She was sick of it, Hinrey told her wat she could do when filling for divorce and that was to remarry him.
See, even that part didn't escape my point. Navier and Sovieshu became the way they are now because a grand scheme of things happening in the background. They accidentally ate laced cookie meant to be served for someone else. He lied to his mother and said only him ate the cookie because he was afraid they gonna appoint another future empress for him. It literally screams "this place is hell and everyone inside are Satan". It doesn't even need to be romance story because theres hardly any. If we see it as how Royal bloodline was the worst kind of mankind and Navier have no choice to become one to survive, it make more sense doesn't it.
They got an antidote for the cookies both of them. But he did use it as an excuse for a divorce.
If the grand scheme you’re talking is from Hinrey then it was in the works before they knew each other but after there marriage he disband his plot cuz he loves his queen/empress
And I even looked it up if Navier was infertile and it said “No, Navier was not actually infertile. but it was later revealed that Sovieshu was the one who was infertile.”
I typed in the manga remarried empress was Navier infertile in the search engine
I look things up a lot cuz I don’t want to get too into if I don’t really like the direction it’s going
