is woojon’s friend whose eyes are covered supposed to be someone important or is author being mysterious just because? i feel like we haven’t seen him before too like who is this guy
definitely the former. in the recent kr raw chapter thumbnail woojoon can be seen meeting with said friend and tbh if he's coming up multiple times and the author is purposely blurring his eyes im betting he's gonna be relevant to the storyline. i'd like to add that siwon's friend's eyes in season 1 finale were also covered. food for thought!
Maybe the protagonist dont care that much about his friends, like he doesn't actually capture their faces. He even states they are merely drinking buddies; in high school, he was similarly perceived as clueless o.o only participating when they called. While he isn't socially awkward, he simply lacks genuineee interest in them. Notably, when Woojon intervened, it was strictly because the topic had turned to Siwon. Actually, writing this out made me realize why the protagonist remains so attached: Siwon is the first person to ever truly captivate him. He has consumed his thoughts for years, through a cycle of admiration, love, and ultimate frustration/hatred? Since Siwon was also in his first dates and romantic experiences, his lingering attachment makes total sense
yess i think that too, like his friends were never that detailed in previous chapters but as readers we could still partially tell what their faces looked like, but covering his eyes? i felt like it was a little too much so i thought it might mean something else lol.
i liked your analysis about why woojong is so stuck on siwon, it makes total sense and i wish more people realised that. ik siwon is a controversial character, but the point is understanding why woojong is so starstruck by him. like the narrative emphasis isn’t whether siwon deserves his love, but what woojong’s fixation says about woojong himself
i left on s2 to let it marinate and i genuinely can’t remember shit, anyone cares to make a quick recap please?
from the beginning to s2?
mc was a casualty during ml’s kidnapping and murdering of the blonde dude. they are now working together cuz the lady didnt offered help when mc was arrested as a prime suspect for the murder of two guys (blonde dude and the lady’s first husband) that are involved with the red district; his car was found to be the one at the scene of the crime, but when he was in jail mc drove and crashed it, however he didn’t have a license, so it was towed and destroyed before the police could use it as evidence. mc managed to shift the suspension onto another person and tricked him into confessing the murder (only the lady’s first husband). since the police has close ties to the red district they blamed both murders on the dude and quickly closed the case. police guy (the one with the dead police brother and put ml in jail) was humiliated and had his team separated after the news, but won’t give up on the finding out the truth (the cause of his brothers death). lady is now going to marry the police chief and carry forth their plan of having authority over the red district. mc is now working as a leader/supervisor at one of his boss’ entertainment location (only for the $$$) cuz since mc helped the other police guy (the op) get his promotion by letting him take credit of catching the “culprit” for the murders; he has blackmail. that’s all i can remember.
Even though the memory loss trope was predictable, it was so Dreadful Night coded to end with a cliché. Bada would have predicted this ending as a reader and I think that’s what makes it even better.
I’ve been following and loving this manhwa for three years now, it’s going to feel weird not waiting for updates :( I’ll miss them way too much, but I’m happy they finally escaped. Can’t wait for the side stories!
The truth is, I love Brett wayyyy too much, and I was really only invested in him and Hayden’s development as a couple. I honestly hate how rushed their love story felt, I used to love this manhwa so much TT
I’m glad I let season 3 marinate, because waiting week to week for chapters that are mostly dogshit probably would’ve made me drop it.
I just wish the author had focused more on Brett and Hayden. There are so many characters who seem important to the plot, but I’m still trying to figure out how they actually fit in, you know?
I do think the author is great at writing complex characters (only Brett and Hayden tho) but not as strong with plot. If the story had stayed centered on Brett’s emotional avoidance and Hayden’s insecurities (like in seasons 1 & 2), it would’ve been a 10/10.
Anyways, not even a shitty plot can make me hate a story that has Brett. I love him, he’s exactly who he thinks he is. I love you Brett, you are the best bottom EVER <33
Maybe I didn’t express it properly. Even though 90% of the season was indeed about Brett and Hayden I still think their development could’ve been stronger if the story had taken more time, it felt like we missed out on a more gradual progression between them. If the author was only planning around 20 chapters, I would’ve preferred more focus on Brett and Hayden instead of side characters that didn’t add much to the story.
Oh and sorry if the main topic seemed lazy, I didn’t expect anyone to reply tbh
The season did seem a bit short to me as well tbh but I checked and it's around the same length as season 2 (and season 1 if you remove the first 6 chapters that was originally a short story before the author decided to make it longer) and while I don't really care about the side characters' subplot the work would be incomplete without a resolution to that lol
Anyway who knows, maybe there'll be side stories to look forward to

this may sound weird, but the pseudo-incest was necessary for the story to work. imagine how boring and predictable it would’ve been if hyukjoon was just some random guy whose boyfriend got killed by minjae and then he dated him for revenge. in fact, there are already so many bls with that plot. it’s hard to portray this kind of hatred, and honestly only a father could have this kind of love and determination to never let go of his revenge.
