Although it's probably not worth saying at this point because I think everyone's had the story spoilt for them including me. But can you please just space out your spoilers if you're discussing them.

Okay so a lot of people have already said their thoughts on his behaviour, but looking at him from a different perspective, he's an incredible character. The author was very brave to have a character like him as the main character. Very often, especially in manga and manhwas, addicts are either represented as background characters or "villains", or if they are main characters their addiction is often made to seem funny, not serious. I personally think it's very interesting to see a character who has very real issues that negatively impact on his life, as well as this it depicts that he physically can't get out of his habits and in some ways he doesn't want to.
I'm not saying he's a good character in terms of personality, but it's far more interesting to have a main character who isn't a perfect blank slate for a reader to project themselves onto.

Yeah I agree with this. It's really interesting to read about a self-destructive anti-hero as a romantic love interest.

I love that the characters are talking about being good at archery but Wendy wasn't even taught the correct way to stand or that the arrow is on the wrong side of her bow.
Okay, so I'm obviously not standing up for those guys and whilst they may well be homophobic, they aren't necessarily. I just wanted to point this out for everyone who's saying they're homophobic, in their eyes a married man (perhaps with a kid), is kissing a guy who to them looks half his age. I'm not saying they're right obviously, but I just wanted to point out the situation from their view.
I love this so much, but it's moving so slowly.. I'm pretty sure this entire chapter could have been summed up in 2 sentences.. I know it's made longer for development purposes but we'll be here for the next 9 years watching development at this rate.

I don't usually write negative comments, but this story didn't have anything positive in it what so ever. I honestly just would have been happier if the story had ended with the MC cutting himself off from his family and leaving the country.

But this is a story that relates to the MC's past, which is a little angst-ish..(?) Anyways, I do agree with you. He would've done better if he did start a new life and probably came back with his own company that he could've definitely made with his own skills. Then the MC would've just let himself fall in love with Kei, have a good life and the end.

I so agree with you! I like a story that they are so fed so they settle for an adventure somewhere and people realize their importance. I've read some and I hope to read more. It's satisfying.
I can see someone else has already written something similar but FYI you can find the missing chapters between volume 1 and 2, on the other version of this comic (also on mgo). It's called Socks goblin and the missing chapters are chapters 20 to 30.
I can see that someone else has already commented this but I'll just put it out there again. This manga won't be continuing past chapter 7.5 unless people buy the manga, as it wasn't popular enough. If you're interested you can find it on the Japanese version of Amazon.

I do really love this series, but I wish that the development had a few more differences than the original. Apart from the new friend she has, everything else is basically turning out the same way. Even though she had 10 more years worth of having a bad personality, the other characters just started liking her immediately in exactly the same way they did before..

Well if you think about it the only people to have seen Katrina's nasty personality was Gerald and her brother. It however was never directed towards the prince. While yes Mary saw it but it was only for such a short amount of time. The rest of the cast had never met Katrina before and only know of her based on rumors they heard. We still see that the prince and her brother are still at iffy about her personality change so I think the pacing could be a bit different but it’s not totally not believable.
Yeah, I totally agree, and she's still the same person, so it makes sense that she uses the same methods and lines whilst befriending them.
I personally had just hoped there would be a few more differences.
Mary and alan should be different right? They must be love each other here while they're into katarina in the other story (since katarina stole alan's phrase in that story but not here)

I don't think it would add much to the story if everyone fell in love with Katarina again, although I imagine they will..
