I mean the only reason she did that was so that he didn't die. If she hadn't saved him, then she might have regretted it later on and even blame herself for his death. Not to mention, she even took proper measures to prevent the imprinting.
Also, Theo's actions were basically what he thought he is justified to do and what he wants to do. The imprinting curse may enhance your feelings of possessiveness and all but they don't make you a criminal (Theo's father confirmed it) and even after the curse was broken he still continued in his ways.
