I know this is a manwha and it's not a true story but I can only think about how many people, or even children go through this. It's so heartbreaking to see the people they leave behind, but they do it because they believe it's their only escape.
I may have read this story because I was looking for a new manwha to read but I ended up stumbling upon a masterpiece. Even outside of Hamins flower, I truly loved reading every episode and seeing everybody's character develop. But wow. I can't even describe how I felt leading up to Hamin's death. It was like I knew him personally, and it affected me as well as the characters. I straight up sobbed the first time I read it and now rereading it for a second time I still shed tears. It moved me. I don't think I'll ever get over Hamin's flower. That poor boy man I can't even begin to wrap my head around it.. he deserved so much better. When he said the moments he spend with the girl were the moments he could truly be himself that part got me. She was his escape, his light. And, as that light slowly faded away, so did he.
Hamin's flower is an eye opener and proof how you could have no idea how much pain the person suffering is truly feeling. The people that you leave behind too, how much it'll impact their lives and that they will never forget.
You matter. And Hamin, may you rest in peace. Loved this story with all my heart, thank you.
