No, me too. I've always been picky about art since a young age.

Me too. I can't read a manga if I'm not into the artstyle. The old style is the worst for me

Me too,after reading my dear cold blooded King and subzero,and Royal servant.My choice has become picky and I expect more :/

i grew up in the 80s/90s so ofc i'm alright with the artworks around the era. it's like fine old wine. also, since i started yaoi around 2000s so i am used with that style as well.
hope you kids will learn to appreciate the art style of those eras, you're missing some really nice ones.

as for me, the artstyle i am not comfortable of are the uber whacky style of animes for little kids. even in western cartoons i don't like them that much. examples are astroboy and doraemon. but generally, i don't care that much if the story is really good. i held some prejudice against one piece when i'm younger because the art is like some grown-up doraemon but when i started reading the manga, i've come to love it.

I used to be judgmental and discard any artworks that aren't my style. I guess I was running out of material that I convinced myself to read the 'rejected'. Most of them are terrible but some of them are diamonds in the rough. Since then, I thought that I would at least skim through one chapter before make a judgement. I still hate terrible artwork though.

I seriously can't for the life of me even enjoy reading a manga unless it has the modern art style. I tried reading a lot of em with old ones but to no avail. I can't connect with the characters unless the art style is crisp and neat. Lol. Typical of me I know but I can't help it _(._.)_

I can't accept a good manga/manhwa/manhua with a good plot if the art isn't to my liking, sorrynotsorry
