Never really thought of my mindset as smth inherently harmful? especially since I’m all for supporting victims and in being a victim myself reading stuff like this is therapeutic in a way, not to spwel abt it but after it was done I found myself reading more stories like these, and it helped me just not care about my own? Like the process was already done nothing more I can do about it and we should definitely differentiate reality from fictional when it comes to this I would love if more stories talk about the process of reporting and speaking out about what happened but that doesn’t happen in these types of stories rape is a real thing and I don’t think seeing it media will desensitize people just not doing something about it is what shouldn’t be normalized.

its in a very controlled situation for me at least when stuff like rape happens in a story I can choose to stay in the story or leave, there have been times where I genuinely had to stop a story because of how much it triggered me. Or I stayed and felt more in control of what happened
