confusing, too many loose ends, seemed like the plot was going nowhere. i feel like i wasted my time, but i didn't want to give it a two because i reserve that rating for the worst of the worst. the dialogue and characters were pretty okay, more realistic than most BLs, but it has a very sparse plot. i initially didn't understand why this had such a low rating for a seemingly inoffensive novel, but now i can see why. i guess even mangago readers have standards.
heeseong's dog form is so fucking adorable and well-drawn gaaaahhhh
k so i read it all and LOOOOL i would love if chiyoung was the one who gets pregnant instead of heeseong. anyway, i feel chiyoung's family background and childhood was building up to something good (they kept edging us) then just failed to maintain the momentum. the fact that his dad made him beyond fucked up but his family continues to give him shit for it as if any of that was his choice is sooo interesting but it ended right there??? how is it already a side story? they didn't even explain much why chiyoung was so drawn to heeseong. so much of the story is missing which is disappointing because the art style is nice, and the characters are likable.
err i don't think there's anything bad about the way it's written per se... but i just can't bring myself to like heejae. i'm already 30 chapters in, and i just can't help but retch at his character. he's so slimy... a real sleazeball. i don't like guys like these, and i seriously cannot see what made jisuh drawn to him. i guess i'm missing out on character arcs and backstories and stuff like that, but it's just so painful to continue when the mc is into a sleazy manipulative guy like this. the fact that jisuh likes him makes me dislike jisuh as well. plus the fact that they seem to keep sunyool as some sort of half-baked comic relief, like a second ml syndrome but isn't taken seriously enough to even fall under this trope. it's so frustrating. ick.
i love this concept! i love shamans and dreams and all that jazz, it reminds me of the kdrama mystic pop up bar a little bit. i loved the art and the chemistry between the two as well. the dream sequences were a creative way to show off bl smut cliches/scenarios lolol. also how did jungoh know about typical bl smutty scenes huh?

it sucks when it's such a great story and the main characters have chemistry but everyone's too occupied about the cocks that show up on one fucking panel
