My sweet boys I love this manhwa so much. From the start, I was really into Suhan and Cheongyeon’s top student x troublemaker dynamic, and the fact that Suhan was so against getting tutored that he would continuously run away from Cheongyeon lol but it was nice to see things slowly change between them. For a manhwa with only 56 chapters, it’s a well-done slow burn, and they managed to include lots of family and friend drama, as well as backstory, without it feeling rushed or overwhelming. While reading some of those scenes, I assumed certain characters wouldn’t be able to redeem themselves, but I’m relieved that I was wrong. I would like to see more of them now that they’ve changed as people, so hopefully I will in the side stories or a future spin-off *crosses fingers* but even with the character growth, I’m grateful that Suhan’s uncle’s still in the picture :’) in addition to our main boys going from friends to lovers, I love that Juhyeok and Haesol did too. They’re sooooo cute! I feel for our fifth wheel, Saetbyeol, but he’s such a great friend to the boys throughout the story. And as if the manhwa isn’t already hilarious, he adds some great comic relief.
(Spoiler) Side story recap for future me: they struggled to get it in, had sex, and a guy keeps aggressively coming on to Suhan, despite being rejected and kicked in the nuts multiple times. And now they’re in a band together…oh boy. Ngl I ship him with Gilhan, even though they haven’t met.

It’s so cute, and I love the premise, but I was hoping it was just gonna be about a hero living a humble life with the villager he fell in love with. I’m okay with added drama, but the conflict came out of left field and fell a bit flat. Ares and Rolf go through a lot together, and though it was sad, it didn’t hit me as hard as it would’ve if the manga was longer, the characters were more fleshed out, and their relationship was developed before things got bad. I want to know where Rolf got that stone. Spoiler: I would’ve liked to see signs that it wasn’t a normal magic stone earlier on, because the Tangled-like scene felt too sudden.

Gem alert! When I started reading this, I expected it to just be a silly love story set in Hell, but it really caught me by surprise. It's a pretty unique take on the afterlife, centered around Buddhism. Raku's reunion with Goutokuji was funny, and I loved seeing their interactions and the signs that Raku loved him. It was sooo obvious. But what made him realize his feelings broke my heart. The last chapter had me in tears. Spoiler: It warmed my heart seeing them finally be together after reincarnating. They deserved a second chance :') I would love to see a second vol or a sequel.

Wow, this is soooo much better than the parent story! Kanta and Ryo are good to each other from beginning to end. Love my consent kings. They never force each other, and when Ryo is told to stop, he respects Kanta’s boundaries and stops. Such a step up from the other story. You’d think it was written by a different person. The age gap in the beginning might bother people, but lots of 18 year olds are still in high school (I was) so it wasn’t a problem for me. I like the way things developed during that stage. But Ryo having sex in his uniform maybe wasn’t the move… Anyway, they eventually had a healthy sex life (amazing smut!) and a reallyyy sweet relationship. I’m glad the second volume had multiple time skips so we could see how things changed along the way. Kanta in a suit?? *swoons* And the art is gorgeous!! I really hope it gets a sequel someday.
I only read this because I wanted to read Call My Squall…and oof. What a mess. For starters, I was frustrated by the fact that Daichi was molested on the train (I’m so tired of this trope) but I was at least hoping Mogami would come to the rescue like many seme have done before. Nope. He was the one doing the molesting. Then, because Daichi’s body naturally reacted to getting touched (doesn’t mean he liked it) Mogami dragged him to a bathroom to rape him. He had the nerve to say “If you don’t want it, you should protest more” and “Do you understand what kind of situation you’re in? Senpai, you’re being violated by me right now” after Daichi told him to stop MULTIPLE times. And then Daichi was okay with everything because he likes his voice??? Please. Second, it was such a small, insignificant moment, but having Daichi overhear two girls have a conversation about the exact thing he’s going through was dumb. Such lazy writing. Also (damn, I could keep going) they start dating, and Daichi thinks they’re moving too fast?? Buddy, you had sex in a train station bathroom before you even realized your feelings… Alsooo Daichi makes it clear that he doesn’t want Mogami to do certain things in public. Why is he dating him if Mogami doesn’t respect his boundaries? That should be the bare minimum. Lastly, Daichi’s sister was blatantly homophobic towards Mogami, then Mogami raped Daichi…again. And Daichi didn’t recognize that side of him?? That’s just the kind of guy you’re dating!
Unrelated to the main plot, but it’s pretty messed up that the purikura place didn’t allow guys unless they were with girls. There are also lots of times when Daichi says he can’t do something as normal as going out for pancakes because he isn’t a girl. Are guys just not allowed to have fun in Japan?
The ending was cute, but it didn’t make up for anything that happened prior.
Ugh I should’ve listened to all of you. This is awful. When I read chapter 5, all I could think about was how good this manga would’ve been if Mogami actually cared about Daichi. If you want to read the spin-off, just do yourself a favor and skip this.

After years apart, Minori and Takuya still have such great chemistry that it’s no surprise that the people around them feel it too. The female characters getting a read on their relationship early on was pretty funny, and I like how supportive they were. But aside from all that, I’m not a fan of Minori’s subordinate aggressively coming on to him, and the way the flashbacks are done. That, and the pacing, made it confusing at times. Also, it was annoying that the characters were constantly referred to as “old men.” They’re only 40… *sighs* great art and ending though.

This is one of the funniest BL manga I’ve ever read. From when they were children to when they’re reunited, their interactions and contrasting personalities are so amusing. It’s really sweet that thanks to Masaya’s kind words, Kanade was able to step out of his shell, and that Masaya kept loving Kanade, no matter what. And I love that Shota was there for both of them. He’s such a great, supportive friend :’) so glad he got his own story! I adore all the characters, even Toma, and would be happy to see wayyy more of them.

This was better than the prequel! It’s so funny, there’s good development between Subaru and Jinnai, and there were even Taira x Kaneda moments that made me so happy (but didn’t completely satisfy me. I hope they get a spin-off) Overall, this was a fun read!
Omg we got THAT scene, yet a Taira x Kaneda spin-off hasn’t been announced? I need more of them
