not all of you deciding what a fictional character feels or should feel based on your personal experience that has nothing to do with his...... that being said, I don't care much about this storyline. he deserved to sort out his complicated feelings about his mom, and in order to do that he had to meet her, I think, but this webtoon was supposed to be about his son's romance. and ended up being anything but that, there is barely any bl in here. their love story is more of a side story
is the amnesia arc cheesy? yes. straight out of a drama your mom was watching on tv while ironing your kindergarten clothes? yep. do I still love it? OH HELL YES
I don't care about this storyline. on one hand, hyesung deserves a closure. on the other, idc about an absent mother who only knows how to take, but never in her life has given. the yuri story was a dissapointment, too. just finish it and go, or give me the main couple of this comic and their cute dates
now that I think about it, this comic is maybe 40-50% the main couple, the rest of it is some family drama. also important, but that's not what the genre is about???

same, + I can tell the mc is going through a lot of shit. idk if people forgot, but dude's basically got The Voices in his head. and I know it doesn't give him the right to treat the merman like this, but at least you can see WHY he's the way that he is. it's the trauma + mental issues that are far bigger than himself. he was hallucinating at some point
