this arc is going to be angsty and it's not going to be "fun". if that's too much for you to handle, leave it for a couple months then come back. the author isn't trying to "fix it with sex". both of them were traumatized by the way their relationship ended. Dohu is haunted by nightmares, barely eats, and has been living like a ghost. Juheon is putting his life on the line to escape his family and he's terrified Dohu is going to get caught in the crosshairs. Juheon knows deep down that Dohus feelings were real but he's been hurt so bad by everyone that he can't open his emotions to that again. imo Juheon is so overwhelmed with his heart wanting Dohu that he's trying to appease his emotional desire physically cause he's so scared of being emotionally vulnerable and risking Dohu being noticed by his family. and Dohu knows he's very much at risk of losing Juheon again that he will take any crumb that Juheon gives him to buy himself time to fix things and get him back. no one thinks this is getting solved by sex. they're allowing eachother what they can manage for now and buying themselves time.

Dohu's flinch at Juheon calling him out for not understanding emotions HITS HARD. Juheon literally taught Dohu he that he does have emotions and now he's just throwing that back in Dohu's face. IT HURTS SO GOOD.

Remember how Juheon used to be? He is the type who will hurt others first before they could hurt him. It's a form of defense mechanism he has because of long history of abuse, abondament, and betrayal. Juheon has huge trust issue, so once he found out Dohu had ulterior motive for approaching him in the first place, Juheon ended up questioning if Dohu has ever been sincere. This perceived betrayal caused him to regress to his old self, not trusting anyone and would rather hurt Dohu first before he himself could get hurt. Still, as you can see with his reaction from Dohu getting hurt by hot water, Juheon still deeply cares for Dohu, but his past trauma and Dohu's inability to convey his true feelings are not helping his case.
i dont like hate him but i do get sad everytime he uses his issue with emotions against him. its not like dohus constantly insulting him by bringing up his people pleasing personality to insult him.... Its just so tough to read because dohu finally was understanding his feelings and then boom he finds out and it goes to shit lol
