I HATE the MLs
Even if Adel had died normally, I fucking hate how the mls are unilaterally decided that they'll bring her back to life. Uggh. The dead should stay dead. Why disrespect someone's death by forcing them back. I hate this. I hate them. I also fucking hate their personalities in general. They give me the ick and creeps, even with how obsessed they are over Adel. Its creepy. I think that going through the grieving is healthy. But these guys are just growing obsessed in their misery. You can still honor the death of someone you love without drowning in despair and obsession
I think imma have to dnf this one. I was on the fence about it cause I thought all the other elements were interesting, but these men ruined this for me. Especially since I can tell that they're just gonna continue to piss me off

This is clearly gonna be filled with fan service, and I absolutely hate the FL's child-like/immature behavior and personality. She seems so fucking whiny. Even if she's supposed to be a villainous, there are ways to write an interesting villain without making her annoying like this. I just feel like there was no thought put behind making her character.
AND THE AGE GAP?!?!?!?! NOOOOOOOOO, FUCK THAT SHIT. 10 Years, he's 16 and she's 26. No. Its soooo gross. If we're gonna get an age gap with them still generally young, at least have the younger on in their 20's. Otherwise it feels predatory. And I feel like the author purposely made the FL that immature and ML more mature or "normal", so their dynamic doesn't feel weird. But it just feels like they're infantilizing her and not respecting her wishes.
Like I get that at the general time period that this is set, the brides hardly ever had a choice. But if they're gonna do the trope of the FL being this villainous character who purposely drives men away. There are so many better ways to execute it. At least show us the FL losing her shit, causing the ML to almost lose it tooand have her plan almost work. But then have him clock the subtleties in her expression/ body language, showing us that both: the FL IS composed and mature. And that there's more to her than what's on the surface. Show us a woman who's believably 26. And that the ML is also intelligent, strategic, and is able to be level headed in an argument. That he's much more mature, intelligent, reliable than he gives himself credit for. Show us that they're actually evenly matched, and have an interesting dynamic.
Overall I don't like how this author writes women, or at least this FL.
